For Terminal 2, rideshare pickup is near Ground Transportation Area GTA-2. Terminal 1 currently uses a temporary pickup area just beyond the taxi podium in Zone Z, while travelers from Terminals 3 and 4 are directed to the first floor of the southern portion of the Palm Garage in designated zones.

Pickup locations were current at the time of this update and can change during airport construction. My Fort Lauderdale Cruise Transportation Tips

After cruising from Fort Lauderdale multiple times, the biggest thing I recommend is keeping your transportation plan simple and giving yourself a little extra time.

Fly In the Day Before Your Cruise

If you’re sailing from Port Everglades, I recommend arriving in Fort Lauderdale at least one day before your cruise.

On one of our recent trips, our flight was delayed and we didn’t get to our hotel until around 1:00 a.m. Because we had flown in the day before, it wasn’t a big deal. We could get some sleep and still have plenty of time the next morning.

Arriving early gives you time to recover from travel, enjoy Fort Lauderdale if you want, and avoid the stress of trying to get from the airport to the cruise terminal after a delayed flight.

The morning of our cruise, we simply grabbed an Uber to Port Everglades and arrived around 10:30 a.m. It was an easy, relaxed way to start the trip.
