How to Compare Cruise Deals Before Booking
I recommend checking the cruise line’s offer and comparing it with another booking option before you pay your deposit. Look beyond the advertised cruise fare and compare what’s actually included, such as onboard credit, drinks, prepaid gratuities, or other promotions.
A slightly higher fare can sometimes be the better overall cruise deal once you factor in the extras.

Hotel prices can vary a lot from one booking site to another, so I usually compare a couple of options before reserving a room. This is especially useful for cruise trips, road trips, or anytime you need a hotel before or after the main part of your trip.

ResortPass is a little different because you don’t have to book an overnight stay.
It lets you book access to resort pools, beaches, spas, and other hotel amenities for the day. I’ve found this can be a good option if you’re staying somewhere without a good pool, spending a day in a cruise port, or simply want a resort day without paying for another hotel night.

I recommend checking the total price before you book, not just the nightly rate. Taxes, resort fees, parking, and cancellation terms can make a big difference in the final cost.

Scheels is another good place to check for outdoor gear, fishing equipment, clothing, footwear, and travel-related items.
I like having it as another option because the brands and sale inventory can be different from what you’ll find at REI or Amazon.

How to Compare Travel Gear Deals
I don’t recommend buying something just because it’s on sale. I’d compare the price, make sure it actually fits the kind of trip you’re taking, and check whether you already own something that will do the same job.
For bigger purchases, I also like checking a couple of stores first. Amazon may have the lowest price, while REI or Scheels may offer a better sale, warranty, or member benefit.
